“I fell in love with animation when I was 6 years old. I was amazed by the magic that makes drawings come to life. After many years of traditional Art education, I decided to pursue my dream and studied Animation at the Ringling School of Art and Design. I graduated with honors, and produced my student thesis film ‘This Side Up’. The film won the Ringling’s Presidents Award, and was showcased in many festivals around the world.

I had the great opportunity to be selected by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science, for an Animation internship at Sony Pictures Imageworks. After graduation I continued in Sony Imageworks as a character Animator on Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. I was then offered to join Dreamworks Animation and to work on some of their most exciting projects, such as the ‘Kung Fu Panda’, the ‘The Croods’ and the ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ franchises, where I supervised Master Oogway, Dawn Betterman and the Deathgrippers dragons.

With the recent launch of DreamWorks short films, I got the opportunity to write and direct the short film ‘Bilby’ along with Pierre Perifel and JP Sans. We premiered the film in June 2018 at the international Animation Festival Annecy in France. The film screened in many Festivals around the world, won the Jury Award at SIGGRAPH 2018 and was shortlisted at the Academy Awards. The film is currently available on How to Train Your Dragon 3- The Hidden World DVD and Streaming services. I also just finished as Supervising Animator for a highly anticipated new film from DreamWorks, ‘The Bad Guys‘, set to be released in theaters this coming April.

Now, I decide to explore a new exciting chapter in my career. I’m currently Co-Directing a new upcoming feature at Dreamworks Animation. L.T.
